What are the 7 things that make CANADA unique?
Glad you asked.
No. 7 Canada’s Unique Syrup
Canadian’s pour maple syrup over pancakes and French toast (except for my hubby who smothers his French toast with Ketchup).
No. 6 Canada’s Unique Coin
Our five cent coin bears the image of a beaver. In an odd sort of way, this beaver is rather cute.
No. 5 Canada’s Unique Mammal
If you look long and hard enough, you might spot a moose wearing a winter scarf. I grew up in Northern Ontario where January temperatures plummeted to 60 degrees below Fahrenheit. Brrr . . . a shiver runs down my spine.
No. 4 Canada’s Unique Bird
This Canada goose, poised for takeoff, is the most photographed landmark in North America. It’s located at the junction of the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 101 in Wawa, Ontario.
No. 3 Canada’s Unique Police
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are referred to as the RCMP or the Mounties. These brave horse riders enforce Canadian law federally and nationally. The Ontario Provincial Police (The O.P.P.) protect Ontario. My dad is a retired O.P.P. officer. Thank you for your service, Dad!
No. 2 Canada’s Unique Firm Foundation
Psalm 72:8 is carved into the wall of our Parliament building in our nation’s capital (Ottawa). The City of Ottawa is located in my home province of Ontario. May God continue to keep our land free!
“He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth” (Psalm 72:8).
Drum roll, please . . .
