Within weeks of launching the eBook edition of Calm Coloring: Faith, Hope & Love on Amazon, I lost the desire to draw another picture or write another word.
I soon realized I felt this way due to exhaustion. So this past month, I took the time to be still.
Slowly, inspiration kicked back in. I picked up a pencil and this design was born—Be Still.
Now begins the climb up a steep mountain (I call marketing).
This morning I was encouraged to start climbing after I read this verse in my trusty guidebook.
“Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am” Phil 4:14 (The Message).
I had a choice to make. A choice to change my mindset.
I’ve made my choice.
My new mindset will be . . .
#Marketing is about sharing one’s passion with others.
Since my passion is to share my writing, my art, and my love for God, that’s exactly what I’ll do.
The paperback edition of Calm Coloring: Faith, Hope & Love (Art & Soul Therapy for Kids-At-Heart) is now available on Amazon.
I must also tell you, there’s nothing quite like flipping through the pages of a real book.
Not to mention, this book makes a great gift for any and all occasions.
The other week, I put together packages like the one shown below.
A dear friend who had to move into a nursing home received one. And I gave another to my neighbor as a moving away gift. Others received these packages too.
That’s it for today, so until next time . . .
Happy Heart Hugs & Coloring,
Tracy
P.S. Please help me climb this mountain and share with your friends. I can’t do this alone.
Great post, Tracy! And yay you for taking time to rest. Publishing and launching a book is no small feat. I also love your new mental approach to marketing. I so agree with you. I long to write, but when the “sell yourself” stuff needs doing, I shy away and want to hide. Not to mention technology issues that I simply want to pay someone else to take care of. So I love that you’ve made it simple. Share what you love. I’m trying to be open about being an author instead of skirting around it. When people ask what I do now, I say “I’m an author.” And I do a little substitute teaching on the side. But it’s still so hard to not justify my (little paid) profession. Baby steps. Right? =) Hugs to you, my friend!
Oh, yes, Laura, publishing and launching a book is no small feat. I still need time to rest, though. Marketing really is about sharing and helping others. It takes a lot of pressure off. I too find it difficult. You are a great author too, Laura. We shouldn’t feel we have to justify what we love to do. Keep at it, Laura. And start sharing your work. Hugs right back at you. <3
BTW – forgot to say how much I like your little gift pack idea too!
Thank you, Laura! 🙂
It’s all about the mindset after all. I’m glad you got yourself back on the rails. Good luck with it!
Hi Genevieve, and just like you posted that wonderful quote that said it also takes commitment to see things through. 🙂
Wonderful, Tracy! Sharing… 🙂 <3

Thanks, Tina. 🙂
Yes, you can do this, Tracy. Of course you can! The same talent and faith that brought you this far will take you the rest of the way.
When you get discouraged, Be still and know God is with you.
Hugs and best wishes!

Marylin, thank you so much for encouraging me. Discouragement sets in far too often. That’s why I constantly need to be still and know God is with me. Happy Heart Hugs. <3
Tracy, you create wonderful art. I’ve shared this on three sites.
Blessings as you rest and create ~ Wendy
Thank you so much for encouraging me too, Wendy, with all the shares and your kind words. Happy Heart Hugs. <3
Beautiful coloring book!! The package with your coloring book, colored pencils, sharpener, and card make a great gift. What a wonderful idea– and very thoughtful to give to a friend at the nursing home and to a neighbor moving away.
Glad you liked the package idea, Virginia. 🙂
