MANDATORY INFORMATION TO INCLUDE IN A COLORING EBOOK & FUZZY WUZZY THINGS FOR CREATIVE TUESDAYS

There have been a few coloring eBooks I would have purchased from Amazon.

However, some authors made a huge mistake—they forgot or (didn’t know) to include a sentence, stating their eBooks offer a link to a printable PDF.

It would be rather disappointing to purchase the eBook and discover there’s no way of printing the coloring pages. In case you didn’t know, readers are unable to print eBooks.

Now that’s great because readers won’t be able to steal the artwork that’s taken hours to create. Unfortunately, book pirates sail the skies of cyberspace and these thieves DO know how to decode and print eBooks. (That’s for another post).

So I suggest including a sentence at the beginning of your eBook, similar to my example below.

There is a link at the end of this eBook to download a high-resolution, printable PDF.

To ensure you grab your reader’s attention, insert a similar sentence at the beginning of the eBook and also include the sentence at the beginning of your book description for Amazon. And highlight the sentence in bold and place the title in italics.

Check out Diane Tibert’s excellent post on how to make your sentence standout using “bold” and “italics”, and other Simple Tips to Make Your Book Description Standout on Amazon.

Most readers skim when they read. If the sentence doesn’t standout or if it’s missing, an author can be guaranteed they’ll receive negative comments. Or worse … a stinging 1 STAR on Amazon—ouch!

Where should an author place the PDF Link?

Make sure you insert the PDF link at the END of your eBook.

I’ve discovered coloring eBooks where the author included the PDF link at the beginning. (In my humble opinion, that’s a crime. They’ve now lost potential sales).

Have you figured out I’m hard at work drawing and compiling a coloring book?

No worries if you haven’t because I’m still not certain what my title will be.

Anyway, that’s why I haven’t been able to find the extra time needed to color my designs, like the one shown below for today’s Creative Tuesdays.

Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see.

Our theme was to create Fuzzy Things.

Note the felt wings, the fuzzy wuzzy bear, and the flannel quilt.

Okay, so you can’t tell it’s a flannel quilt or that the wings are made of felt. I can’t either. Grin

Please join me over at Creative Tuesdays to cast your gaze on all the other fabulous art.

Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear Hugs,
