Brenda Wood honoured little, old me with a Liebster Blog Award.
What is this Liebster Blog Award, anyway? Curious by nature, I wanted to uncover the origin.
“Some time, somewhere (rumour has it that it might be Germany), someone decided to do something nice for a lot of bloggers and started the Liebster Blog Award. It’s an award you receive, but it is also an award that you give. If you receive a Liebster Blog Award, please choose 3 or more bloggers and send them one as well.”
This award is to encourage, support, and build up like-minded bloggers who may not be well-known, yet have a lot to share. I’m definitely not well-known.
Next week, I’ll post about four bloggers who are worthy of the Liebster Blog Award.
Until then, please check out Brenda Wood’s blog.
Brenda is a popular motivational speaker, known for her common sense wisdom, sense of humour and quirky comments. I can attest to all of those attributes.
And as a prolific author, her current books include:
The Big Red Chair: a children’s book dealing with the loss of a grandparent.
Hearts Under Construction: A motivational cookbook designed to feed both body and soul.
Meeting Myself: Snippets from a Fractured Mind: the author’s recovery from abuse and eating disorders.
Heartfelt: 366 Devotionals for Common Sense Living. (I have this book, it’s uplifting and well-written.)
God, Gluttony and You: a Bible Study dealing with our relationship with overeating. (Sounds like a book I need to read.)
Thank you, Brenda, for this award, and for highlighting my blog.
I’m flattered. Wink wink.
