When I began thinking about what to draw, the image that popped into my brain was obviously a pillow.
After gazing at my pillow, are you scratching your head and asking, “What do the words faith and sheep have to do with a pillow?”
Well, I am a sheep who has put my faith in the Good Shepherd. He protects me and He comforts me … especially when life is hard.
So tonight, after I lay my weary head on a pillow, I’ll thank the Good Shepherd for the protection and comfort He provides. And I’ll be thankful for my comfy, feathery pillow.
“I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
John 10:11 Living Bible (TLB)
And here’s Faith. She’s all dolled up in a quilted, coat of faith and wearing a matching hat to boot.
Blessings and hugs,
Tracy

Your pillow makes perfect sense to me. How cool to know we have someone watching over and protecting us at our most vulnerable time.
It sure is cool and good to know we’re protected especially during our most vulnerable times, Terrol. Glad the pillow image made sense to you. 🙂
Tracy,
Wonderful way to show your faith! A great way to be tucked into bed each night. I can see them on kids’ beds, babies’ cribs, and center spot in master bedrooms adored with multiple throw pillows. Go for it!
I have a pillow design of my own I’ve asked my mom to help me with. I want to recycle some embroidered pieces from old dresser scarves that are tattered and worn. I want them to cut and added to throw pillows or new dresser scarf backgrounds. Get it?
Thanks for your encouragement, Linda. I’ll need an art agent to make that happen. Your throw pillows or dresser scarves are wonderful ideas. You’ll have to post them when they’re done! 🙂
Tracy, faith is just too cute and combined into that gorgeous pillow, just perfect! Wonderful interpretaion and using my favourite colours as well.

Hi Linda at dots n doodles. Glad you liked the interpretation. And I did notice we like the same colors. 🙂
Tracy,
Beautiful! Inspiring and I want one. Do you do quilting too? Or is this a design for a quilt?
I love the sheep and the Scripture.
Blessings,
Janis

Hi Janis, I’ll get right on that. LOL. I used to quilt many years ago. But quilts play a huge part in designing art. Yes, the verse ties in nicely with the sheep. Thanks. 🙂
so very creative Tracy! I really like this one.

Thank you, Marylin. You are a wonderful encourager. 🙂
Tracy–yes, of course I got the sheep and faith. A lovely country like feel to it. Love all your little details…especially the cross stitching and various stitches. Great colour too. Cute that you focused on a pillow and told a story with it. I like that. Thank you so much for playing along for another theme and your lovely comments left on mine and the other artist’s sites too. 🙂

Hi Michael, country is my favorite style. I also decorate my home “country style”. I used to cross-stitch and quilt, but as I get older there isn’t enough time to do it all. I hope the next challenge isn’t too hard! Yikes. 🙂
Tracy, I can picture that as a real pillow! You probably know there are sites where you can have your illustrations printed on fabric.!
I love that it’s a God-honoring pillow 🙂
Hi Tina, I do have a few of my designs on pillows. If you’re interested in taking a peek, here’s the link–>

What a cute little pillow… you need to have that one made up as a real pillow!
Karen, are you going to sew it for me? LOL. Thanks for the inspiring comments. 🙂
Hi Tracy,
Thanks for the links you left on my blog the other day.. I Love your pillow of faith. And your message. 🙂
