WHAT BAKED GOODNESS IS RISING IN YOUR LIFE? – CREATIVE TUESDAYS

WHAT BAKED GOODNESS IS RISING IN YOUR LIFE? – CREATIVE TUESDAYS

Baked Goodness? My pulse quickened. Oh, my goodness. My palms broke into a sweat. I don’t bake.

Phew!

It’s a good thing Mr. Toast, our host, didn’t actually expect me to bake for Creative Tuesdays.

FYI: I only “bake” stove-top treats like gooey, Rice Krispy squares, and only once every few years. If you want the recipe I’m sure I can find it. 🙂

Mr. Toast also referred to a line from Sing a Song of Sixpence by Mother Goose,—“Wasn’t that a dainty dish to set before the king?”

The words “before the king” jumped out, making my brain whirl like a mixer.

I thought of my heavenly Father, the King of Kings, and how much goodness He’s poured into my life, and how my life continues to rise with baked goodness.

Specifically, things like my:

  • creative abilities,
  • great health,
  • awesome marriage,
  • wonderful parents,
  • supportive church family, and
  • encouraging blog and Facebook peeps.

All that goodness made my heart and hands whip up a cupcake . . .

Baked with Love—Color a Pillow © Tracy Campbell

“God, your goodness reaches far above the skies.

You have done wonderful things. God, there is no one like you.” Psalm 71:19, ERV

How to Color a Pillow with Fabric Markers

Let’s get started!

  • Wash and dry your pillow (remove the pillow form before you begin).

Tip: Do not add fabric softener to the wash cycle.

  • Cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside the pillow.
  • Insert the cardboard into the pillow.
  • Pin the fabric in place to prevent shifting.
  • Color the pillow with fabric markers (available at your local craft store).

Tip: Keep the fabric tension tight as you color.

  • Once the marker has dried, insert your pillow form.

Viola . . . you’ve colored your very own pillow.

I can’t leave without mentioning Sherry Ellis’ blog post on how she (unknowingly) opened up her home to “bake goodness” with her son’s neighborhood friends. Please drop in and visit Sherry Ellis, a talented author, and blogger. She likes to bake. Oh, my goodness.

What “baked goodness” is rising in your life?

Happy Heart Hugs,

Tracy
